Gorgeous fabric!
“This was my first order from Wild Linens and I was impressed with the beautiful fabric. Soft yet strong, well woven and with the typical unique features of flax linen. I've already made another purchase for different colours and have plans to return for more.”

Gingham Linen for Every Project
Bring sustainability, timeless elegance and luxurious softness into your next sewing project with our striped linen fabrics.
Our Gingham Fabric Collection
Few patterns are as instantly recognisable as gingham, and in pure linen this classic two-tone check feels wonderfully fresh and relaxed. Whether you're sewing a summer dress or dressing a country kitchen table, our gingham linen fabrics bring easy, timeless charm to any project.
Expertly Crafted
Our gingham linens are yarn-dyed and woven with the check running true through the cloth, not printed on top, so the pattern is just as beautiful on both sides. Choose from Red Gingham,Fine Green Gingham or Fine Black Gingham. Expertly washed and softened for a luxuriously relaxed drape, these medium-weight ginghams are ideal for dresses, shirting, children's clothes, table linens, curtains and cushions.
Benefits of Linen
Linen is naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, keeping you cool through summer while its insulating fibres add warmth in the colder months. That makes gingham linen a genuine year-round fabric, as happy in a July sundress as in an autumn tablecloth. With every wash it grows softer and more characterful, and its natural durability means your handmade pieces will be loved for years.
Consciously-Sourced From Lithuania
Our gingham linens are woven by carefully chosen Lithuanian producers, drawing on a national linen-making heritage that stretches back generations. Every fabric is responsibly sourced and OEKO-TEX® certified, processed and dyed with planet-friendly substances that are kind to the skin. And because flax needs far less water to grow than cotton, choosing linen is a more sustainable choice too.
Placing an Order from Our UK Online Shop
Our striped linen fabrics are available to order by the metre and will be cut in one continuous length. Simply click ‘metre’ on the product page and then add the number of metres you wish to order. For example, to purchase a two-metre length of linen fabric, you would set the quantity to ‘2.’ All orders are cut and packaged by us and sent directly from our UK studio. Fabric Samples
We try to photograph all our linen products to be as true to colour as possible. However, please be aware that colours may show differently on screen. We would recommend ordering one of our linen fabric samples if you’re at all unsure, so that you can see the colour first-hand before purchasing your linen online.
